Your evening is filled with communal cooking and learning new recipes and techniques that uplevel your paleo cooking repertoire.

Would you like to join us?

This is a Series of eight hands-on 3-hour cooking classes focusing on my favorite Paleo, AIP-friendly, nutrient dense, allergen-free ways to play in the kitchen.

in each class you can expect:

-   Access to a private FaceBook group where you can ask questions and chat with other class attendees.

Meet Your Chef

Hi! I'm Angela.

I serve those who are committed to their healing through paleo based allergen-free diets and lifestyle through my culinary educational events and classes. A certified nutrition consultant, professional chef and educator, I celebrate those who eat for health and I am a strong advocate of the farm-to-table movement and whole-heartedly believe in food as medicine.

the Classes:

Taiwanese Homestyle Cooking

Learn to cook paleofied versions of some of my favorite dishes growing up and maybe you will even leave speaking a little Taiwanese. I guarantee that you will not find anything like this class anywhere else in town. Dishes like Fried Green Onion Pancakes (Cong You Bing), to Lion’s Head Meatballs (Shi ZI Tou) and a special Taro Dessert. Come and experience the flavors and techniques of Taiwanese Home cooking!

Hot Pot Experience

Experience the phenomenon that is the Hot Pot! Come join in on this lively communal experience where family and friends can choose from a smorgasbord of raw, thinly sliced meats and vegetables for dipping in a steaming pot of delicious and nutrient-dense broth (a.k.a. the Hot Pot). You will learn how to set up your own Hot Pot at home, some history of the Hot Pot tradition, as well as a discussion of its the various manifestations among different east Asian cultures.

Eclectic Tapas

Based on the time-honored culinary tradition of Spain, tapas are a fun way to enjoy a creative and elegant selection of small plates, family style. We will featuring such dishes as Gambas al Aljillo (Garlic Shrimp), Mollejas Salteadas (Sweetbreads with Parsley and Garlic), and Cucumber Gazpacho.

Not only will you learn about some fun new rice substitutions but also play with variations on texture and flavor and saucing.

Cast-Iron Cooking

Cast iron pans are durable, long-lasting, and affordably priced. Let me show you why it's about to become your new favorite pan. Made from melted iron poured in pan-shaped casts, cast iron pans keep getting better (and more seasoned) the more you use it, and well-seasoned pans are naturally non-stick without any potentially harmful synthetic coatings. We will go over how to season, clean, and maintain your pan.

Nourishing Desserts and Treats

Treat yourself to some delicious guilt-free desserts and treats. Learn the secrets of satisfying your sweet tooth without compromising your commitment to health. From tigernut flour to gelatin eggs, we will get familiar with some nutrient-dense ingredients that will advance your AIP baking skills.

Sauces Simplified

Knowing how to make sauces is an essential skill for anyone wanting to make their meals more interesting and nutritious. Together we will go step by step through the process of making a variety of versatile sauces that can be adapted to fit any palate.

Around the World Paleo

I love Global Cuisine, from East Asia, to Greece to the Middle East, let me take your tastebuds for an adventure. "I loved the experience of meeting others and getting to know them, whilst enjoying absolutely delicious and nutritious food, and learning, all at the same time. It was a rich and inspiring experience. I have some great new ideas of ways to prepare food at home. I feel that Angela's classes would be extremely enjoyable to anyone, but in particular for those who have specific restrictive diets, this is such a treat. Thank you Chef Angela!"  Josie Fenton. Wilderness Based Coach and Therapist.

"As a person with several different food allergies and intolerances, I am hesitant to go to food events, even if they are advertised as gluten or allergen free. However, not only does Angela host events that are truly gluten and allergen free, she also does an amazing job at catering to the specific dietary needs of every one of her guests. Angela puts an extraordinary amount of detail and preparation into each dish and I always leave her events feeling deeply nourished through the food and the company." Jess Cooley, Relationship Coach & Somatic Narrative Practitioner.

"Being on an elimination diet can be hard. Finding recipes which are easy and delicious is key to sustainability. Chef Angela mastered both, allowing me to eat amazing and nutritious foods I never thought I'd eat and teaching me how to make them at home. Her friendly and positive attitude made the event fun-I will attend again when I have the chance."  Erin Joyce, AIP Expert and Lyme Warrior

"With my restricted diet, I was worried about whether I'd be able to enjoy trying many of the dishes and I was very pleasantly surprised that Chef Angela was able to be really accommodating with little to no fuss. I loved taking home new tips and tricks that I could use in my kitchen right away! I was happy to learn I could enjoy many different types of dishes. I also had a lot of fun with meeting new people, eating the food, and skills that I learned at the class."  Rylee Keys. Software Engineer.

"I loved getting to know the other attendees of the class, bond with them around food, and learning from Chef Angela. I still use many of the methods that I learned from Angela and the evening was truly unforgettable as a high-quality culinary experience.  I even made new friends whom I have stayed in touch with! I recommend Chef Angela to friends all the time.  I tell them what amazing evenings I have had socializing with others in the community while enjoying Angela's exquisite food.  Also, her dishes and desserts are the most high-quality and unique paleo fare I have ever had the pleasure to taste.  She prepares all of her meals and desserts with care, precision and beauty and creates experiences that are truly unforgettable.  And, she shares her knowledge with others so that we can bring the type of vibrant dishes that she creates into our own homes. I love Chef Angela!"  Alexandra Davis. Acupuncturist.

"A friend treated me to one of Angela's cooking classes and it was one of the most surprisingly fun and informative nights I've had since moving to Boulder. My family has dabbled with the paleo diet for a few years- my husband desiring to adhere more strictly to it than I feel like I need to- so I was curious and excited about what I could take home and add to our repertoire.
While I took away great recipes and enjoyed the awesome food I was not expecting to learn so much about the science of how preparing certain foods in different ways can have a huge effect on how our bodies respond to and digest it.  When Angela gets asked a question not only does she have a detailed and expert response at the ready, she delivers it in terms you can actually understand and makes suggestions that will be practical to use in your cooking moving forward. Angela is fun and dynamic when she teaches and for me, personally, I felt so comfortable and welcomed even though I don't need to practice the more extreme version of paleo/AIP. (There was no gluten shaming here just total acceptance and I could tell the few others in class with serious allergies were grateful they were also being seen for once!)
As an added bonus it was a really fun way to meet some cool new people as recent transplant."  Christy Decatur.
